South Jersey’s best new burger joint is already expanding. Here’s where it’s going.

South Jersey’s best new burger joint has expanded after less than a year in business.
Smash Bros is opening its second location in the coming weeks, its owner told NJ Advance Media. The new burger spot will be located at 710 Delsea Dr. in Glassboro, replacing the recently shuttered Oliver’s Twist.
Owner Mo Abuhmoud told NJ Advance Media that the business’s rapid ascension — leading to long lines outside its small Runnemede location — made storage and issue, prompting the move to a larger space to better serve customers.
Smash Bros opened its flagship spot in Runnemede in April. The tiny burger spot quickly gained local acclaim, as eaters couldn’t get enough of its killer smash burgers — a ground brisket blend that gets pressed and cooked to perfection before being topped with cheese, grilled onions and homemade burger sauce and placed on a Martin’s potato roll.
Smash Bros has gained a following of over 14,000 on Instagram in its seven months of operation and sees up to 300 orders per day on busy shifts.
“The new spot is going to be about five times the size of the Runnemede spot,” Abuhmoud said. “We’re going to have tables to eat inside and we know production will be quicker because we’ll have the space now.”
The eatery’s menu won’t look much different at the new Glassboro location. It will serve the brand’s beloved burgers, plus tenders, loaded fries, cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, wings and hot dogs; as well as an expanded dessert list which will be detailed further before opening.
“I went to Rowan (University) for a little so I know the area very well,” Abuhmoud said. “I know that with the surrounding towns and schools, we already get a lot of people from there that come to Runnemede. So if I can bring the store to them, why not?”
The owner went on to note that a continued Smash Bros expansion is in his plans, with hope to one day franchise the brand.
